On Thursday, March 30, members of the Texarkana Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, brought donated goods to Beryl Henry Elementary. Appearing for the presentation were President of the Chapter Magigor Love, Vice President Charlotte Bradley, Hope Schools Assistant Superintendent of Federal Programs Portia Jones, District School Improvement Specialist Carla Narlesky, and Assistant Treasurer for the Texarkana Chapter Alma Johnson.
The alumnae then traveled to Yerger Middle School to donate additional items. They met with District Nurse Julia Beaver who accepted the gifts.
All items included in the gifts were donated by individual members of the Texarkana Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities.
