bhe 5th grade party

Beryl Henry Elementary had the "Battle of March" last month. The prize? An incentive party!  The battle was between the grade levels.  Points were given based on behavior, students caught being good, kindness, following directions, helping others, and cleaning up after oneself.

On Friday, March 31, The month-long contest resulted in tally marks being given for each time a student performed one of the acts. In the end, the battle was hard-fought and ended in a VERY close race! The 5th graders pulled it out, though, and won with a score of 190 points versus the 6th graders' 181 points!

The incentive party took place in the cafeteria Friday afternoon where Carla Narlesky handed out games for the students to play, popcorn for them to eat, and drinks to wash it all down. Students broke up into groups to play "Sorry," "Connect Four," chess, checkers, and other board games. Some students opted to draw or color on long yellow butcher paper.

Congratulations, 5th Graders!
