Hope High School Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) Program students Drake Mason and Jacqueline Culley present Hempstead County Judge Haskell Morse with a DVD and overview of an oral history project focusing upon education in Hempstead County for the Hempstead County Bicentennial Year. Under the direction of EAST instructor Adrianne Ware, right, the students researched the general history of public education in Hempstead County, and conducted oral history interviews based upon the research. The DVD will be available at a number of venues for public viewing during the Hempstead County Bicentennial Year through December; then, it will become part of a time capsule archive. Copies of the project will also be presented to the Hope Public School District and the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archive Foundation. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
