STUDENTS! The annual FREE Fishing Derby will be on Saturday, March 22, from 8am-Noon at Huckabee Lake and Hope Fair Park. It's open to all students 18 years old and younger. Participants who are 16 years old and younger must possess a valid fishing license. There will be loaner fishing supplies while they last! For more information, contact CPL Deam at jdean@hopearkansas.net - This event is hosted by the Hope Police Department!


The Hope Magnet Program took HHS Students to Little Rock for HBCU College Tour supported by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity inc. There were 16 colleges present. The students seemed to favor Southern University in Baton Rouge, Wiley College, UAPB, and Grambling State University. It was a great experience for our students. One of our students, Shy’Anna Farris, applied at Southern University and was accepted!!
Magnet is excited to be able to offer these opportunities for our students. Sheila Hopson and Chatorie Terrell were there to help the students find suitable universities.

Hope Public Schools is aware that a letter purporting to be from the “Hope High School Custodial and Administrative Staff” regarding use of HHS bathrooms is circulating. This letter is FAKE. This letter was not written by Hope High School staff or any other HPS employee. HPS Administration believes this is a student prank and is conducting an internal investigation. One student involved has been identified and will be disciplined appropriately. If additional involved students are identified, they will also be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with District policies.

Students from Hope Public Schools are in Hot Springs for the annual EASTCon Conference. EAST provides hands-on, real-world problem-solving and community involvement to students at all grade levels within the district. REMINDER: Students will dismiss early on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Clinton Primary School will dismiss at 1:00pm and the other campuses will dismiss around 1:20pm. NO SCHOOL FRIDAY! Parent-Teacher Conferences will be from 3:30pm-7:30pm on Thursday.



Ag mechanics students learned basic maintenance of small gas engines, and lawn mower safety. Students learned basic engine components, engine fluids, and the operation of a zero turn mower. They learned how to change the oil, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and oil filter.





Isabelle Barnett entered into the 2025 Young Artist Exhibit Competition. Over 300 pieces were entered into the competition and only 60 pieces were chosen in the state of Arkansas. She was one of the finalists chosen and her artwork will be displayed in the Arkansas Governor's Mansion in Little Rock, AR.
