magnet fair success

We had a wonderful turnout for the Middle School Magnet Fair on Thursday, April 13 at Hempstead Hall! Many parents, students, and community members came out to learn more about the future of Middle School offerings in the district. Beryl Henry Elementary, Hope Academy of Public Service, and Yerger Middle School each had tables set up with students and administrators ready to answer questions and talk about the program focus of each campus.

Dr. Crossley addressed the crowd to give an overview of what each campus will offer, while Laura Gray provided realtime Spanish translation.

Food services provided cookies and punch, plus each table had goodies for visitors.

After talking with students and educators at each table, parents and students filled out their Magnet School Choice forms with their picks for First Choice, Second Choice and Third Choice.

This year's inaugural Magnet Fair was a huge success and we look forward to watching our middle school students grow and learn under the new direction the campuses will take!
