The National Park Service President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site partnered with Hope Academy of Public Service recently to host a Hispanic heritage celebration. It was held at Hempstead Hall at the University of Arkansas-Hope. The celebration had lots of food from the Hispanic culture that was donated by HAPS families. Food that was donated included Mexican Rice, Flan, Agua de Horchata, Tamales, Tres Leches Cake, Enchiladas, Jello Cups, and Mole Sauce. Presentations by HAPS students, included, pictured left to right, Amber Cisneros, Priscila Moreno, Zuany Leyva, Jose Martinez, and Jessie Hernandez, shown with Dr. Veronikha Salazar, assistant vice president for student engagement at Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia.
