Student-led conferences planned

HOPE – Student-led conferences and parent-teacher conferences are planned across the Hope Public School District here Thursday, Oct. 17.

Conference hours will be from 3:30 – 7:30 p.m., and classes for the day will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. No classes will be conducted on any of the HPS campuses on Friday, Oct. 18.

Unless otherwise announced, conferences will be conducted in the Hope High School cafeteria, Yerger Middle School cafeteria, advisory period classrooms for Hope Academy of Public Service and in classrooms for Beryl Henry Elementary School and Clinton Primary School students.

The HPS Bobcat Clinic will offer student registration forms for parents to complete at each campus, and HPS District Parent Engagement Plan copies will also be available on each campus.

The Beryl Henry Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization will host a BHE Fall Festival in the campus cafeteria from 3-7 p.m. A costume contest is set for 6 p.m. with prizes for first through third places. Games including a kissing booth, ring toss, punch out, basketball and others will be available for 50 cents each. The BHE Gifted and Talented classes will offer a haunted house, and there will be student leadership booths, as well as a concession stand.
