The Hope Public Schools Board of Education positions for Zone 1 and Zone 6 will be on the ballot on Election Day, May 13, 2025.
Zone 1 is currently represented by Janice Milus, who was appointed to the Board in 2023 following the passing of long-time board member Viney Johnson. The candidate elected to represent Zone 1 next May will serve the remainder of Ms. Johnson's term, which expires following the 2028 primary elections.
Zone 6 is currently represented by Kathryn Dickinson, who was last elected to the Board in 2022. The candidate elected to represent Zone 6 will serve a five-year term that expires following the 2030 primary elections.
If you are interested in running for the Zone 1 or Zone 6 positions, you must be a registered voter residing in either Zone 1 or Zone 6. Packets with candidate petitions and additional information are available now at the Hempstead County Clerk's office, which is located at 200 East Third Street, Hope, AR, 71801. The filing period will begin at noon on February 24, 2025 and end at noon on March 3, 2025.
