The Hope Academy of Public Service was the “Spirit Award” winner from the recent “Pop It and Drop It” can pull-tab collection drive which benefitted the Ronald McDonald House charity of the McDonald’s Corporation serving Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. The HAPS Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) Lab collected 80 pounds of pull tabs for the fundraiser. At 1,267 pull tabs per pound, the beverage can devices collected nationwide are sold to support overnight residential services for families of children who are long-term patients at ACH and other children’s hospitals across the country. Jacquelin Jimenez and Itzel Aguilar, center, managed the HAPS project, and Zerick Bailey, left, and Addison Miley, right, were the top HAPS contributors. – Hope Public Schools\r\n
