HOPE – Science students of Carol Hendrix at the Hope Academy of Public Service are working toward an adventure.\r\n
\r\nTwo fundraising efforts have been undertaken by the students to help finance the HAPS Travelers science adventure to Orlando, Fla., this summer, including a partnership with Chicken Express in Hope on Oct. 16.\r\n
\r\n“Chicken Express has offered to donate 20 percent of every order from 6-8 p.m. if the person ordering specifies that they would like to support HAPS Travelers,” Hendrix said.\r\n
\r\nShe said the one-day event is part of a larger approach.\r\n
\r\n“The Chicken Express fundraiser is Oct. 16 and RADA Cutlery is being sold through Thanksgiving week,” Hendrix said.\r\n
\r\nThe students hope to travel to Orlando for the June 2-6 WorldStrides “Science in Motion” week.\r\n
\r\n“This group of students is working hard to earn money to help with their science trip to Orlando,” Hendrix said.\r\n
\r\nInquiries regarding the trip or purchases of RADA Cutlery should be directed to Hendrix at the HAPS campus by calling 870-777-3454 during regular school hours.\r\n
