Kayla White’s innovation class students at Hope Academy of Public Service were challenged to use principles of engineering and architecture to represent recognizable structures and family structures using non-traditional materials for their design. The students were called upon to present their projects in class and explain their particular use of materials, including the HAPS campus built of scrap lumber and tree twigs. The red-roofed buildings are the Garland building and the cafeteria, while the plain-roofed buildings represent the Hope ABC Preschool buildings.
