Dear Community of Hope, I am excited to share details about our upcoming Tunnel of Hope event at Beryl Henry Elementary. This inaugural gathering aims to foster a strong sense of community support for our students and inspire them through the presence of dedicated individuals like you. To enhance the experience, we would like to encourage you to bring a poster that motivates the students or poster of your business. Wearing a uniform is also welcome, as it showcases your commitment to our students. Additionally, if you feel moved to connect with any of the students, your encouragement could significantly impact their journey. This event is a beautiful opportunity for us all to unite and demonstrate how hope can shape the future of our young leaders. Any business or organization in the community of Hope that wants to be a part of this great event, then please confirm if you can attend by email or phone Best regards, Kedrick Jones Campus Principal 870-777-6222 Beryl Henry Elementary School

A lunar eclipse will be visible for people in Arkansas and Oklahoma on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. The partial eclipse will coincide with a full moon and a supermoon, which occurs when the moon is closest to Earth. Best Time To Watch The eclipse will begin at 7:41 p.m. Central Time, but it will be difficult to notice until the Earth's shadow starts to cover the top edge of the moon at 9:13 p.m. The eclipse will peak at 9:44 p.m. There could be clouds in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley, but conditions will likely be clear enough to see the eclipse. The moon will finish exiting the full shadow at 10:16 p.m. and the partial shadow at 11:47 p.m. What Is A Lunar Eclipse? A lunar eclipse is when the moon passes into the Earth's shadow. This means that relatively little of the sun's light makes it to the moon. The sunlight that does make it to the lunar surface has passed through the Earth's atmosphere. This light is at a longer, redder wavelength, making the moon appear red. "It's as if all the world's sunrises and sunsets are projected onto the moon," according to NASA. https://www.4029tv.com/article/eclipse-supermoon-midwest-arkansas-oklahoma/62225254

As the home football season continues, we want to remind everyone about student expectations. We encourage our students to show school spirit and support our team, but it’s important that they adhere to home game expectations: ⚫️ Students are not to loiter behind the bleachers. Our students are expected to remain seated in the stands during the game, except when going to the restroom or visiting the concession stand. 🔴Students cannot sit on the top three rows of the stands unless sitting with a parent. ⚪️All after school activities are schools functions therefore our students are to follow handbook expectations. Any student that does not follow expectations may be asked to leave the game and will be addressed the following school day. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your child to ensure a fun and safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation! Go Bobcats!!

During Mrs. Stevenson's Social Studies unit on archaeology at BHE, students engaged in a hands-on STEAM activity that brought the past to life. Acting as "archaeologists," the students participated in a simulated dig where they excavated buried artifacts. Using a small shovel, a spoon, they carefully unearthed the hidden artifacts from rice-filled containers, replicating real archaeological digs. They discussed their findings and analyzed the artifacts. This activity seamlessly integrated STEAM concepts like precision, scientific observation, and problem-solving. By digging for artifacts, students gained a deeper understanding of how archaeologists work and the importance of artifacts in uncovering the stories of the past. Thanks to Allison Rowe for the photos and info! #GoBobcats #ALLIN #HopeForTheFuture
