Clinton Primary School students were treated to an entertaining lesson in healthy habits in a Color Me series presentation featuring the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 entitled “Happy Cat/Naughty Cat.” Hope Schools Child Nutrition Director Deanna Gilbert portrayed Happy Cat with Cortney Nutt as Thing 2, while HPS campus nurse Geri Maxfield, was Naughty Cat and campus nurse Marcia Widel as Thing 1. Students learned about good nutrition, sleep, hygiene and exercise habits, with an added shout out to healthy fruits and vegetables by Kalee Crowley, Miracle Glenn, and Hailey Arroyo, students from Kristi Johnson’s third grade class. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
