Eighth grade students at the Hope Academy of Public Service learned about the college applications process recently from University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Enrollment Specialist Presley Capps. Each student completed a “practice” application to UAHT and learned more about the college applications process in a question and answer session afterward. Capps also explained the financial aid process involved in college applications. She advised each student to learn his or her Social Security number now, since it will become an integral part of many applications processes after they enter high school. HAPS eighth graders will visit UAHT in January to tour the campus and learn more. – Hope Public Schools
