Students at Clinton Primary School were recently treated to a healthy surprise as Dr. Seuss Day brought the Cat in the Hat to campus to talk about healthy food choices. Hope Schools Nutrition Director Deanna Gilbert as the Cat in the Hat had to decide between the unhealthy snacks and meal choices of Thing 1 (School Nurse Geri Maxfield), or the healthy lifestyle choices of Thing 2 (District Nurse Renee Sells, RN). The decision was no contest for healthy choices and students were rewarded with fruit snacks which they ate after returning to class. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools\r\n
