On Wednesday, students in Jesse Lewis' class used finger flashlights to read their CVCe (Magic e) passages in the dark. Students love the novelty of reading in the dark with flashlights. In addition it is amazing how focused they are while reading quietly. This allows her and her para a chance to walk the room and listen as they read and assist them sounding out words as needed. #GoBobcats #ALLIN #HopeForTheFuture 🔦📗🎒

Friday, October 11, 2024 Officer Keith Powell of the Hope Police Department came out to read to students in Mary Storey's K-1 ESL classes. The students have learned about community helpers and how the police are there to protect us and keep children safe. Office Powell and Officer Luke Sorenson explained how they use their tools to help others and let the children take a peek at the Patrol Vehicle. The students were ecstatic to meet the officers and to have officer Keith Powell read a Halloween book to them. I would love to thank the Hope PD for allowing the officers to spend time with our students and to show students that the police are here to be a friendly face they can depend on in our community. #GoBobcats #ALLIN #HopeForTheFuture 🚓🚨🚔📚
