HOPE – The Hope Public Schools is backing up its encouragement for students to become vaccinated against COVID-19 by offering two free vaccination clinics and a live drawing for prizes to be given to eligible vaccinated students.
Prizes may vary between a television, Nintendo Switch, earbuds and more, according to HPS Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley.
“Students will need to present their vaccination card or the image of their card to their school nurse,” Dr. Crossley said. “Then, the student will sign a documentation sheet with the nurse.”
It’s as simple as that, District Nurse Renee Sells, RN, explained.
“You must be fully vaccinated by 12-noon on December 10 to participate,” Sells said. “The live drawing will be held December 13.”
Any qualifying vaccination regimen for a student’s age group is acceptable, including Moderna (two doses for ages 18+), Johnson and Johnson (one dose for ages 18+), and Pfizer (two doses for ages 12+). The contest will be limited to Hope Public Schools students.
“A COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held at the Bobcat Clinic on Tuesday, November 9,” Sells said. “This one will be for anyone wanting to receive the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.”
A second clinic is set for Dec. 7 at the Bobcat Clinic for second dose Pfizer vaccine, she said.
“If you have any questions, or want to schedule an appointment, call 870-722-2733, option 2,” Sells said.
