We are proud to celebrate a major milestone for Hope Public Schools.

Three of our campuses β€” Clinton Primary, Beryl Henry Elementary, and Yerger Middle School β€” have been recognized as Capturing Kids’ Hearts Rising Star Schools.

Because of this achievement, Hope Public Schools has also been named a Capturing Kids’ Hearts Rising Star District.

This recognition honors schools in their first year of implementation that are building strong, relationship-driven cultures focused on emotional safety, connection, and student success. Through intentional practices like daily greetings, relationship-building, and positive classroom environments, these campuses are creating spaces where students feel supported and ready to learn.

β€œMy goal for HPS with Capturing Kids’ Hearts has always been rooted in relationships β€” building, creating, and sustaining relationships that go beyond teaching and learning and truly get to the core of student success β€” academically, avocationally, behaviorally, and vocationally,” said Dr. Carol Duke, Director of Magnet Programs.

β€œThe fact that, in this first year of implementation, these campuses have impacted their culture with the simple actions that CKH aspires to become daily practices proves the committed nature that all adults have regarding our students and their futures. For many of our students, the adults they interact with daily are critical to their well-being, and CKH has helped us all hone the skills to support creative learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and connected to each other, the adults, and the world in which they learn daily.”

This is a reflection of the work happening across our district. We are building something meaningful together.

The work does not stop here. This is the foundation. Our next goal is clear: becoming a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase District.

We celebrate this moment, and we continue moving forward.

We are proud to celebrate an incredible achievement for Hope Public Schools.

Hope High School student Jair Arroyo has been selected as the Arkansas recipient of the Billy Michal Student Leadership Award, a national honor presented by the National Association of Student Councils.

This award recognizes one student per state who demonstrates excellence in leadership, service, character, and citizenship β€” and Jair is now representing not only our district, but the entire state of Arkansas.

Out of students across the country, Jair has been recognized as one of the top student leaders and will travel to New Orleans this June to be honored alongside other recipients from across the nation.

This is a powerful reflection of who Jair is and what he represents β€” hard work, integrity, and leadership in action.

We are extremely proud of you, Jair. You are representing Hope the right way.

The Hope BotCats are making moves on the state and regional stage πŸ€–πŸ”₯

After setting ambitious goals for the 2025–2026 season, our robotics team delivered in a big wayβ€”competing across Arkansas and beyond while earning multiple awards and top finishes.

β€’ 1st Place – Marketing
β€’ 2nd Place – Engineering Notebook
β€’ 2nd Place – Robot Performance
β€’ 3rd Place – Exhibit & Interview
β€’ 2nd Place Overall in the State

That performance advanced them to the BEST Southeast Regional Competition in Huntsville, Alabama, where they proudly represented Hope on a larger stage.

The momentum continued this spring at the FIRST Robotics Competition in Searcy, where the BotCats competed against top teams across the region. After qualifying rounds, their alliance fought through the bracket and finished 1st overall in the finals.

From problem-solving to teamwork, these students are gaining real-world skills that go far beyond the classroom.

This is innovation. This is collaboration. This is Bobcat Pride.

πŸŽ“ Future Leaders in Action at Beryl Henry Elementary!

At Beryl Henry Elementary, students are being challenged in new and exciting ways β€” and recently, one student got a firsthand look at leadership through a special Principal for a Day experience!

She stepped into the role, learned what it truly takes to lead a campus, and discovered that the job involves even more responsibility and decision-making than she expected. The experience gave her a deeper appreciation for leadership and the work that happens behind the scenes every day.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jones gained fresh perspective as well, identifying a few blind spots and embracing the excitement that comes from seeing leadership through a student’s eyes.

Opportunities like this are what make Hope Public Schools special β€” giving students real-world experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

πŸ’« Hope Public Schools is rocking and rolling β€” building future leaders every day!
