Nine musicians from the Hope High School Bobcat Concert Band participated in the recent University of Memphis Honor Band Clinic in Memphis, Tenn. Musicians auditioned for seating in two performance bands on the first day of the three-day clinic, and were treated to an evening concert by the UM Wind Ensemble and “Southern Comfort.” Rehearsals continued through the second day, along with “master classes.” Band members were honored with a banquet the second evening, prior to final rehearsal the next day for afternoon concert performances in the Rose Theater on the UM campus.
