The Hope High School Concert Band presented its spring concert at Hempstead Hall on the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana campus recently, performing a program of pieces that included Arkansas composers. Soloist Brittany Craig, a senior clarinetist, performed the musical lead in the Samuel Hazo piece “Psalm 42.” Senior band students A’lecia Conway, Brittany Craig, Onesha Edmond, Darian Hall, Jesus “Jesse” Hernandez, Skylar Howard, Xena Kimble, Caitlin Mullins, and Mario Valdez were also recognized. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
