HOPE – Hope High School has been notified of renewal of the Amazon Future Engineer program at HHS for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The announcement was made in a letter to HHS Principal Bill Hoglund.

“We are thrilled to inform you that your school’s Amazon Future Engineer sponsorship will be renewed for the upcoming 2021-22 school year,” the letter states.

The program is a comprehensive student to career path intended to create access for children and young adults from underserved and low-income populations to pursue studies leading to a career in computer science.

Resources included in the annual sponsorship range from complete curriculum with course materials to teacher support and professional development and, ultimately, career connections with Amazon computer engineers. Introductory courses in computer science, the study of its principles and programming classes with hands-on problem solving, methodologies and data structures and applications are available through the sponsorship program.
