Hope High School cadets of the HHS Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps unit commemorated the infamous Bataan Death March recently with a 14.2-mile walk at Camp Robinson Army National Guard Post in Little Rock. The HHS unit was the lead contingent for four schools including the Conway Army JROTC, Fort Smith Northside Army JROTC and Harrisburg Army JROTC units that memorialized the World War II forced 65 mile march of over 75,000 U.S. and Philippino troops captured after the fall of the island of Luzon in April, 1942. – Hope Public Schools
