HOPE – Back to School activities at Hope High School will be held Aug. 10 along with two COVID-19 vaccination clinics on the campus.

HHS will observe Open House, Aug. 10 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Students will receive class schedules and be issued a Chromebook device.

The annual HHS Senior Breakfast will be held Aug. 10 in the HHS cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. “A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning” will be the theme for the annual informational, motivational session.

“Respect and Connect” for the Class of 2025 will be conducted Aug. 10 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the HHS auditorium. Incoming freshmen will learn about HHS climate and culture, meet teachers, take a campus tour, get class schedules, and be issued backpacks and Chromebook devices.

Hope Public Schools and Express Rx will sponsor a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the MAC Building on the Hope High School campus. Anyone ages 12 years old and up may obtain either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

The Bobcat Clinic and CABUN Rural Health will offer the Pfizer vaccine Aug. 10 from 4-6 p.m. in the Hope High School cafeteria.

Students wishing to participate in athletics should contact the Bobcat Clinic to schedule an athletics physical examination. Call 870-722-2733, option 2.

Pre-season sale of home game football tickets will be announced, as will protocols for Hammons Stadium based upon current COVID-19 guidance.

A meeting for parents will be announced to provide information regarding heat illness, concussions and other athletics-related health matters.

Aug. 16 is the first day of school for the 2021-2022 academic year.
