Hope High School students Jaylen Phillips, Mackenzie Lafferty, Gerardo Cardona, Kenia Green, Cecil Harris, Marlin Aldaba, Salvador Torres, and Latavia Lard participated in the recent Young Voters Conference in Little Rock to learn more about the electoral process by participating in skits, a game of election Jeopardy, and a debate, all designed to heighten student understanding not only of the process, but also the implications of voter rights and responsibilities within the American democracy. HHS social studies teacher Zach Hoglund accompanied the students. (See more photos on Facebook.) – Hope Public Schools
