Our Phenomenal Art & Photography Teacher, Mr. Kendrick Adams used outdoor objects as props for his art class on September 17th. The Art 2 students are studying texture. Eventually they will learn how to put texture into their artwork. To understand texture, they took 5 rubbings of different textures they found outside. They will also take 10 photos of textures. They will put these into a slide show and focus on one area of each texture. They will show these slides to the class attempting to prevent other students from recognizing the texture. Afterwards, they will draw 3 of the textures. Finally, they will draw a group of objects emphasizing the texture of those objects in a final piece of art.
