Hope ABC Preschool students kicked off their Live, Laugh, Literacy Week this week with a colorful book parade as the youngsters exhibited their favorite book, then had an opportunity to hear a story on Monday. Events Tuesday and Wednesday included a trip to the Hempstead County Library for Pre-K classes, where the students heard the story of “The Hungry Caterpillar,” and made necklaces which reflected elements of the story. Activities continue Thursday with readings by members of the Hope High School Bobcat Soccer team and Friday by officers of the Hope Police Department.
