Artist Repha Buckman is no stranger to the Hope Public Schools, having taught in the Artist In Education Program for the district since 1998. This year, Buckman guided the 21st Century Education After School Arts program, focusing upon international thematic art, including Oriental brush stroke art and altered mandala concepts. The month-long local residency at Yerger Middle School concluded in early March with students producing highly-personalized works called “hair tangles” that reflected themes from each student’s life.
