HOPE – Auditions for junior and senior varsity cheerleading squads were conducted April 17 with 27 girls landing spots on the respective junior high and high school teams, Cheer Coach Kirby Turner announced.
Hope High School will field a senior varsity cheer squad of 12 cheerleaders for the coming academic year, according to Turner. Girls in grades 9-11 were eligible for the HHS squad and girls in grades 6-8 were eligible for the junior high team audition.
Hope Bobcat Cheerleaders for 2021-2022 will include Aaliyah Washington, Ada-Kay Banks, Ahyanna Gulley, Alexus Soils, Franchesca Hill, Hale’ Ward, Jaylei Simington, Jodie Hill, Khyianna Smith, Kyla Wyatt, Quincee Key and Reniyah Hussey.
The Yerger Middle School Junior Cheerleaders for 2021-2022 will include Adison Miley, Airhianna Hardiman, Bella Elliott, Grace Patterson, Ja’Leah Block, Katie Valdez, Kelcy Carrigan, Kelsy Henry, KeMyah White, Ky’leigh Roberson, Kynslee Hamilton, Madalynn Ingersoll, Sa’Miya Monk, Tanasia Young and Toni Hall.
