Hope Public Schools helped celebrate the Downtown Christmas Open House with cheering, the band, free books, and even the Grinch! Thanks to the students and staff who helped make this a great event! Photos provided by Misti Flowers.
Mrs. Shelman's class has been making amazing projects to add a bit of STEAM into Literacy Class.
These one-pager projects allow students to flex thier artistic muscles while still showing thier mastery of the content.
These come from thier recent unit on Lowry's "The Giver", a classic Science Fiction novel!
Yerger Students and Families,
This Friday is the last day to sign up for the Science Fair/Magnet Showcase!
The Science Fair is open to all students, and the Magnet Team will help students every step of the way! From choosing an experiment to sourcing materials to designing their presentations, students will have all the support they need!
Any Grade-level-appropriate experiment is welcome!
If you are interested, please see Mr. Molloy in room 10, or contact your science teacher to get your name on the list!
From Laura Gray: Hope School District's ESOL Coordinator Laura Gray, ESOL Teachers Mary Storey, April Robinson, Kristi Johnson and Christy Terrell attended the ARKTESOL Conference in Rogers, Arkansas. Ms. Gray and the teachers were joined by paraprofessionals Montzerrat Leija and Heather Smith in very informative sessions covering UDL practices, Tier 1 instructions for English Learners, Creating an English Learners Task Force, Engaging English and Academic Learners in Rigorous Grade Level Content, and many more.

This weekend, why not learn a little bit about the new Artemis Missions NASA is working on? (with the goal of sending humans to the moon and beyond!)
In Mr. Molloy's class, students took a virtual field trip to explore the Artemis 1 module that was launched on November 16, 2022 as a test flight.
You can experience this fieldtrip yourself! Follow the link below and explore!

Yerger's 8th grade social studies class has been hard at work learning about the American Revolution!
Last week, Mr. Anderson took advantage of the weather and had his classes reanact major battles of the American Revolutionary War through structured games of capture the flag!
Hands-on simulations like this are just another example of how Yerger Middle School teachers are working hard to reach our students!
#Yerger-Is-All-In!
Due to the Veterans Day parade on Friday Nov 10, afternoon bus routes on Friday may be delayed up to 15 minutes. There is a possibility the bus routes will not be affected at all, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of the potential delay.

Eighth Grade students from HAPS and YMS attended the ExploreSuccess event at UAHT today. It was a wonderful event where our students learned about different industries in the area and got some hands-on experience in different trades.
