Today the HAPS Campus earned Project Adam Safe School Certification through Arkansas Children's Hospital. This year we created a campus emergency response team. The team's goal was to render aid and AED services within 2-3 minutes of a cardiac event. We did several mock drills during the school year. Today we conducted a certification exercise in partnership with Pafford EMS, Hope Fire Department, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and HPD. We are extremely grateful to our HAPS team and first responders for their dedication to keeping our community safe. A special thank you to Nurse Marcia Widel who introduced this initiative to our campus. https://projectadam.com/Adam
From HPS Band Director Chris Davis: "Our 6th graders made history today! They attended the annual Hot Springs Music Festival and received some hardware! They earned their first Superior Division (1) rating and trophy. I have a feeling we will see nothing but success from this group as they get older. This groups consists of BOTH BHE and HAPS students. We are proud directors!!" #HopeForTheFuture #TheSoundofHope #excellence #GoBobcats
