Yerger Middle School students took their field trip to Memphis,TN on yesterday and had an amazing time. The students toured the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Hotel and gained a wealth of knowledge. Then thanks to numerous community donations the students were able to have a sit down dining experience and eat until they were absolutely full! There are way more pictures to come, but the students were very thankful for yesterday and have already asked when they can do it again. We love that our students had the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom and connect it to their curriculum and teaching from inside the classrooms. Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Simington, Ms. Casey Ms. Gray, Mr. Lard and Ms. Trotter served as chaperones on the trip with the students. Thank you all so much for the support of our students! They will display their knowledge from the museums on February 15th along with other schools at the African American Extravaganza hosted at Hempstead Hall! The doors will open at 4pm and the program will begin at 5:30pm..
