Hope Public Schools is proud to announce that the Hope Public School District, and specifically Clinton Primary School, has reached a milestone in our state literacy scores! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, parents, and state literacy coordinators, Hope Public Schools is no longer required to receive state coordinated support!
The implementation of state-coordinated support is largely based on the annual state testing done by 3rd and 4th graders in each district. Those scores determine what level of support is required or provided by the State Department of Education.
Our students, teachers, and parents have worked tirelessly over the past several years, raising our state literacy assessment scores. We will continue to push forward and maintain the momentum toward sustained academic excellence.
Join us in celebrating this wonderful achievement! Go Bobcats!!

On Wednesday, January 15, Dr. Crossley met with Hempstead County Emergency Management teams, first responders, city police, representatives from UAHT, and others to share, discuss, and revise the Emergency Response Plan for Hope Public Schools. The plan defines various emergency situations and the various courses of action each stakeholder takes during such events. This collaborative partnership ensures that Hope Public Schools, city and county officials, and other representatives are working together to provide the best safety protocols for our students, staff, and community!
